Frequently Asked Questions

  • We make strong humans in a in open, accepting and friendly environment.

More specifically we run small group strength training classes that are coached by some really great coaches.

  • Buy a 3 for £39 class pack and try some of our classes! If you have any questions reach out ahead of time via email or instagram.

  • If you haven’t trained for a while (or ever for that matter!), you are in the right place and we can’t wait to welcome you!

In terms of where to start though, if you’re really not sure, we would recommend you start with a Foundational Strength class where the vibe is a bit more chilled and you will get the time to figure things out…

You would probably be ok in most of the other classes as we have small classes so the coach will be able to help you as and when you need but just note that our Happy Heart and Lungs classes tend to be a bit more full on so if there was one we would say to avoid as a first session, it would probably be these! Oh and definitely our Lush Team Sweats on Saturday mornings…

  • I don’t know… A t-shirt and shorts and some trainers would be a good start?! In an ideal world you would wear a training shoe (if you don’t know what that is don’t worry!) but that depends on how keen you are… Also if you need a drink, bring a water bottle too (we have a filling station) or you can also buy one (we sell water)…

We provide sweat towels for class but if you want to shower afterwards either bring your own or you can rent out shower towel too if you need…

  • Yes we do, we have two showers that can double as changing pods… Oh and a large toilet! Arriving ready changed is an option though!

  • Yes we do, two of them. Featuring rabbit hooks…

  • If you’re on a trial pack, you can book onto our classes from 7 days in advance (or 15 days in advance if you’re a member) any time up until 30 minutes before the class when registrations close.

  • We have an ironclad 12 hour cancellation window that means if you cancel less than 12 hours before the start of the class, you lose the credit.

If you do not show up for the class but remain signed in i.e. you ‘no show’ and will be charged a £10 no show fee.

We understand that things happen and that sometimes you just can’t make it so in which case just cancel babes.

  • If our class is full, you can be added to a waitlist. If a space become available, you will be:

    -              Auto-added to the class if the class is due to start in 9 hours or more

    -              Emailed with the option of a place for you to accept

  • Our monthly memberships have a minimum 3 month term and they require 21 days notice before your billing date to cancel (this is the 1st of the month). This can all be done via our app to make it as simple as possible for you to do but if you need us to action it, please email us with 21 days notice.

N.B. The cancellation notice for a monthly Babies & Barbells membership is 0 days just make sure it is before your next payment to avoid being charged.

  • We try to give you as much chance as possible for you to use the sessions which is why we give our monthly members a 2 month expiry on sessions.

This isn’t a regular occurrence in the industry and the tech isn’t quite there yet! So on the 1st of every month we fudge it by adding your unused sessions from the last month in a pack that you can use to book for this month!

  • You can pause your notice within 5 days of your next billing date and the pause runs for complete months of membership. You can pause for a total of 2 months in a 12 month period, in either individual months or consecutive ones.

Please not that rollover sessions are not usable when the membership is paused.

  • We are pretty easy to get to… I mean we all have google maps… Just to note, for those of you planning on cycling, there is a little cycle storage in front so you’re welcome to use that but just note that bikes are not allowed inside… Before you come in and mess up our floor!

  • Please don’t be offended that we threw these in together but a couple of notes on these!

A (relatively) well behaved child can come to our 12pm sessions, as long as they are ok to sit in our reception area with a tablet or a colouring in book .

A similarly well behaved dog can come to our last session of the day (7pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and 7.30pm on Tuesdays), you just need to bring them a blanket to put on the sofa or basket to hang out in.
